Meet
Lynda Honing 
​​Reiki Master and Massage Specialist

For over 40 years Lynda Honing has been a competitive athlete running marathons, triathlons, enduring long distance cycling races, karate and Dance competitions. Her first marathon came after a serious car accident at age 19.  Her Dr. advised her to build a strong body during her recovery which inspired her athletic journey.  Her understanding of the physical body is extensive  through her life experience and her studies. Being so physical has had its challenges and had Lynda explore numerous healing modalities to help her alleviate pain and injury. 
 That's when she found her love for ~
Reiki, Massage, Aromatherapy and Yoga.
The balance, healing and tranquility these modalities created for Lynda, inspired her to share this wisdom with others.
Reiki ~ ​Her training in Reiki began over 40 years ago When she was healed by Hawayo Takata .  Hawayo Takata was trained by Chujiro Hayashi who was trained by the father of Reiki,  Mikao Usui.  This inspires Lynda every day that she was introduced to Reiki when she was so young and in the beginning of when Reiki was introduced to the western world.  She developed her own programs to teach others the incredible healing abilities that Reiki offers. 
Reiki healing allows us to tap into our innate ability to heal creating a super conscious powerful healing energy  
Massage ~ Her love of massage began from her own healing journey. She spent years learning different techniques that would enable her to heal others on a much deeper level.
Knowing that touch is a critical ingredient to healing your intention and ability to touch is even more important. 
Aromatherapy ~ She began her training in  Aromatherapy in 2000 and has achieved several levels. The use of essential oils is powerful and multifaceted. This is an entire course in itself!
​Essential oils are an excellent addition to healing and some might view them as absolutely essential! 
Yoga ~ Lynda took her yoga teacher training to teach those who come to see her for massage to learn proper ways to stretch the body. she also has introduced classes at The Urban Oasis during spring, summer, fall when the weather permits as classes are outdoors.
The mindfulness that occurs in yoga is brilliant. We are brought to the moment when acknowledging our breathe and how our body moves so gracefully and with practise, instinctively. 

Her passion and mission is to help facilitate healing in others, whether from personal injury, separation, transitions,  stress or just needing some love and attention. You will find a balanced life if you are faithful to yourself and your daily healing rituals. 

​Lynda's gift is using her Reiki Healing, Loving Touch, expertise and Intention to bring peace, love and transformation  into the body, mind, and soul.
